TestPath features a complete line of modular test leads and probe bodies for general purpuse electronic test equipment. Modular test accessories allow any test lead to be interconnected with any other probe body, test clip that has a banana jack termination. This system permits an almost unlimited number of test lead configurations that is constantly expanding as new probe bodies and DUT (device under test) interfaces come to market. Description: Modular Test Leads have a 4mm shrouded banana plug at each end while Test Clips, Test Probes, and other modular accessories have a 4mm shrouded banana jack. The Test Lead banana plug fits into the banana jack of a test cable, test probe or other modular accessory ensuring an electrical connection. The other end usually plugs into a test meter or digital multimeter. Function: A Banana Plug has a prong (male) contact and a Banana Jack has a socket/receptacle (female) contact. The contact may be unshrouded (exposed) or shrouded (sheathed) to offer insulating protection.
