Cal Test Test Leads and Accessories


Description:
Modular test accessories may be connected to each other (plugged into each other) giving you many configurations for your testing applications.

Modular Test Leads have a shrouded 4mm banana plug at each end while Test Clips, Test Probes, and other modular accessories have a 4mm shrouded banana jack. The Test Lead banana plug fits into the banana jack of a test c, test probe or other modular accessory ensuring an electrical connection. The other end usually plugs into a test meter or digital multimeter.

Function:
A Banana Plug has a prong (male) contact and a Banana Jack has a socket/receptacle (female) contact. The contact may be unshrouded (exposed) or shrouded (sheathed) to offer insulating protection.

Compatibility:
  • Unshrouded Banana Plugs fit into both Unshrouded and Shrouded Banana Jacks
  • Shrouded Banana Plugs fit only into Shrouded Banana Jacks
